Company History
Safety Training Systems, Inc. (STS), a privately held Oklahoma corporation, was founded in 1978 to design and build commercial airline training devices, with early focus on evacuation, cabin service, and aircraft system trainers.
In 1985, STS expanded into U.S. military training devices and mock-ups, establishing the systems and procedures needed to successfully manage complex defense programs while strengthening its commercial capabilities.
The 1996 acquisition of Thomson Training & Simulation’s cabin training equipment division (formerly Burtek) significantly increased STS’s capacity and expertise, adding experienced talent, intellectual property, and proven know-how to better serve domestic and international airline customers.
